Did you hear about the Program called 10,000 Women?
10,000 Women is a 5-year-investment by Goldman Sachs to provide 10,000 underserved women around the world with a business and management education. In India, the 10,000 Women program operates through a network of more than 70 academic and non-profit organisations to develop locally-relevant coursework for women entrepreneurs to improve the quality and capacity of business education.
In most of these cases, people do not have the resources and time to get an MBA degree. They want to understand how markets are different, access to finance, how to manage resources and the program conducts short modules to develop the skills they need. Additionally, it is supported by access to mentors, networks and linking up with capital. In India, this program is running in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and New Delhi.
10,000 Women aims to foster and connect an Indian women's network to stimulate enough microeconomic opportunities at the local level to produce real macroeconomic growth through the nation.
Qualitatively, scholars across the board unifromly say that the training they received drsastically improved one of the most important business capabilities: "personal confidence".
