Discussion: Are female professionals with short hair more successful career women?

What do you think: Are female professionals with short hair more successful career women than those with long hair?

I would say that there are certain industries in which it doesn't make a difference whether you have long or short hair, e.g. in the fashion industry or in show business. But I noticed that in other sectors such as politics, business or sports very often the high-calibre professionals do have short hair. I wonder why... What do you think?
