My personal blog review of Etiquette Professional: Diane Gottsman
Diane Gottsman is a nationally recognized Etiquette Expert, author, and owner of The Protocol School of Texas (http://protocolschooloftexas.com). You will find a particularly interesting interview with her and my personal book review of her book “Pearls of Polish” on my website too.

- Welcome to my new blog!
* What I particularly liked:
- the length of the post entries (just right, not too long and not too short)
- the good pictures
- the professional presentation/outlook
- reading about other etiquette peers opinions regarding the topic: “Labor Day: The End of whites in the wardrobe?). This was an interesting and surely great idea.
- that personal experiences and stories have been included
- the topics covered (including social as well as professional etiquette topics)
- the fact that if someone is interested in more details at the end of every blog entry further links of articles and videos have been provided.
Have a look at one of her videos in which she shares iPod Etiquette tips:
* My Top 7 favourite blog entries were as follows:
- Welcome to my new blog! (A nice and interesting introduction by talking about her background)
- Mother’s Day & Breakfast in Bed Etiquette (sharing some personal experiences and providing lovely tips for that particular occasion.)
- The true value of a Personal Assistant (this blog entry I would say is not just the best from the entire blog but one of the best of all etiquette blogs I’ve read so far! I would say it is a must-read for every Personal Assistant and Executive looking for his/her own personal assistant. The last three paragraphs are particularly flattering... Not to be missed!!! The only thing I would have changed is the picture. The suitcase could be nicely replaced with a team picture, featuring Diane and her valuable assistants.
- Pen Etiquette (really interesting details and tips that you would not find anywhere else!)
- Travel Tipping Etiquette (by answering 10 important questions and giving more tipping basics. I learnt that Airport security does not get a tip!)
- Interview Etiquette - 12 Phrases to avoid during the interview (it included a recent personal experience with a job candidate which made this blog article more interesting.)
- Nine Tips to surviving a new boss (usually you would read about tips for bosses to survive difficult employees......)
* One more thing:
The strength of this etiquette consultant’s blog I would say is the fact that many topics are covered which talk about things that you can’t find easily anywhere else in such a detailed way.
Examples: Pen Etiquette, Hat Etiquette, Wearing animal print attire, sock etiquette, shoe etiquette for various occasions depending on your personal/professional circumstances). That is what makes it particularly interesting to me. A consultant who knows how to differentiate herself from other consultants. And there is ALWAYS something new to learn from, also for people working in the same industry!

I want to congratulate Diane Gottsman on her recent accomplishment and you Karin for bringing us the best of the best.
With Grace and Charm,
Walethia
