Etiquette Blog: Mindy Lockard

Today I would like to review Mindy Lockard’s blog. She is an Etiquette Consultant in US. Have a look at her website: www.mindylockard.com or read her blog at: http://mindylockard.com/blog/.

When I was reading her blog I realised very soon that she is a very creative, caring, religious, family-oriented person and also a savvy business woman. If I were a guy I would think she would be the perfect mother and wife to get married to and only by reading her blog you would understand what I mean . She is happily married and has two beautiful and cute daughters.

What I particularly liked:

  • Her very personal style of presenting so much diverse content (which includes dilemmas, personal stories and experiences, etiquette tips, cooking recipes, creative DIY tips, personal recommendations, testimonials and much more).
  • Her creative and original ideas in doing things differently (e.g. her kids giving etiquette tips on a video, and so much more!!!)
  • The use of many pictures and videos, it undermines her ideas and thoughts.
  • That certain topics are discussed on particular days, such as “Take to the Table” on Tuesdays, “Q&As” on Wednesdays, “Family Friday” on Fridays, etc.
  • The way it is presented. It feels like reading a women’s lifestyle magazine.
  • The design of the website and the blog is creative and differs from other etiquette consultants’ blogs.

There were many blog entries that I liked. I had to narrow down the list (which was not an easy task) to my favourite 15:

My favourite blog entries:

  • Too late to send Thank-Yous
  • A picture is worth a thousand words ... or good night sleep!
