Karin Schroeck-Singh: Why did you attend an etiquette course?
Benan Boke: I was a graduate of The Protocol School of Washington and certified as Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant. Since I am planning to set up my Protocol and Etiquette School in Turkey in near future, I thought I needed to be certified as Children's Etiquette Consultant as well. This would give me the chance and credibility of teaching etiquette for all ages. I always thought if I wanted to be certified as an Etiquette Consultant which was my dream job, they would better be the best schools.
Karin Schroeck-Singh: How did you choose the course provider you’ve chosen?
Benan Boke: I received the information of the Etiquette and Leadership Institute from The Protocol School of Washington. The affiliation of the Protocol School of Washington with ELI was significant too. When I did a lot of
research on the net, this was the only one offering courses for international students and looked the most professional and credible one as well.
Karin Schroeck-Singh: How long did the course last and how was it structured?
Benan Boke: It lasted for 5 days and it was well structured. Children programs were divided into three age groups. They cleverly combined teaching etiquette with dancing to connect with them. I learned the proper techniques of teaching etiquette to children which is quite different from adult training.
Karin Schroeck-Singh: How much did you pay for it?
Benan Boke: It was on my own expense and was around $7000. I received a discount for being a graduate of PSOW as well.
Karin Schroeck-Singh: What was the most important thing you learnt on this course?
Benan Boke: Today's children are tomorrow's leaders, so it is important to give proper etiquette training to children that will make them more confident, social and successful in the future. We are the ambassadors from all around the world who will bring civility to our communities.
Karin Schroeck-Singh: Would you recommend this course to friends? If so, give me three reasons why.
Benan Boke: I would strongly recommend this course to friends. They are professional, very friendly, down to earth and all the programs are given to you, ready to teach and well structured. Also you get a chance to observe them teaching children in actual environment (school). Teaching good manners with dancing was great fun.
